On November 3, 2023, the organization hosted its annual Trivia Night fundraiser, and this year’s theme took everyone on a nostalgic journey back to the 1980s.

The event not only brought the community together but also successfully raised $33,000, a testament to the unwavering support and generosity of sponsors, donors, and dedicated volunteers. This remarkable achievement not only covers the organization’s food costs for the entire school year but also opens the door to enhancing weekly menus, ensuring students receive well-rounded and nutritious meals.

The 1980s-themed Trivia Night added a unique and entertaining twist to the fundraising efforts. Participants and volunteers embraced the theme by dressing up in vibrant 80s garb, turning the venue into a time capsule of neon colors, bold patterns, and iconic fashion statements. The coveted “Best Costume” title went to four individuals dressed as the group Devo for their outstanding commitment to the 80s aesthetic. Additionally, the award for the “Best Overall Costumes” was claimed by the spirited group from Roosevelt, showcasing their collective creativity and dedication to the theme, “Nobody Cares Bears”

New to this year’s festivities was the introduction of a photo prop station, which quickly became a crowd favorite.
